Non-Traditional Student Application

Non-traditional students are those students, regardless of age, who have graduated from high school more than one year ago, or received a GED, and have not earned college credit.  This includes students who may have enrolled at a college or university but withdrew before earning credit.

The application deadline for Fall 2014 is August 1, 2014. Students may apply after that time, but will be accepted on a space-available basis.

Scholarship Information

The following information will be shared with the Office of Financial Aid. Check all of the following for which you wish to be considered. If you qualify for more than one of these awards, you will receive the one of highest value. It is possible for scholarships to be reinstated for re-entry students depending upon how long you have been away from the University. The scholarships listed below are for full-time students only, in traditional undergraduate degree programs who are pursuing a first bachelor's degree.

University of Evansville Academic Scholarship - You must have a minimum 3.0/4.0 cumulative GPA for college level work to be considered for the Academic Scholarship. The scholarship ranges from $10,000 - 12,000 per each academic year.

Music and Theatre Scholarships - Auditions and interviews are required for students applying to the Departments of Music or Theatre. Talent may influence the amount of the student's merit scholarship. For more information or to schedule an audition or portfolio review please contact the appropriate department at 800-423-8633. This scholarship ranges from $10,000 - 12,000 per academic year.

Aces Award ($6,000 per year) This award is offered to students who demonstrate potential for academic and co-curricular success at UE. It is renewable by meeting UE satisfactory academic progress standards.

Additional Scholarships

These scholarships may be added on to any University of Evansville merit aid. Students receiving full-tuition scholarships are ineligible for these awards. Students may receive either the Legacy Award or the United Methodist Scholarship if eligible for both.

University of Evansville Scouting Scholarship - ($2,000 per year) - Candidates must have earned the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout, Girl Scouts of the USA Gold Award, Sea Scouting Quartermaster Award, American Heritage Girls Stars and Stripes Award, or Venturing Silver Award. Candidates must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 from previous institution(s).

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship - ($2,000 per year) - This scholarship is for students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of two-year colleges. Proof of membership (such as a notation on college transcripts, a copy of the Phi Theta Kappa membership certificate, or an official letter from the chapter advisor) should be included with the application for admission. It is renewable with a UE GPA of 2.50.

Articulation Partners Award - ($1,000 per year) Awarded to students who transfer directly from a two-year articulation program partner college, complete articulation agreement course work requirements, and receive recommendation endorsements from their academic advisors. (The list of schools with whom UE has articulation agreements is located on the UE Web site.)

University of Evansville Legacy Award - This award is designed for children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Evansville graduates. It is valued at $500 per year. Please complete the following information.

Art Major Scholarships - ($1,000 per year) - Applicants who will major in the visual arts may submit a portfolio of work to the Department of Art prior to March 1, 2014.

Music Ensemble Grant for non-music majors - ($500 per year) - Students must complete an audition with the Department of Music by March 10, 2014, and demonstrate sufficient talent to participate in band, choir, or orchestra. Renewal requires continued participation in an eligible ensemble.

Manager and Trainer Grants - ($1,000 per year) - Awarded at the discretion of UE's athletics manager or trainer to students who assist with UE's NCAA Division I athletics teams.

Sibling Scholarship - ($1,000 to $1,500 per year) - Awarded to the older UE student when a younger sibling enrolls. The award is $1,500 per year while both students attend UE. Entering twins or triplets each receive $1,000 per year.
